Acappella Grup 34 was founded on 15th June 2004 in İstanbul with the participation of experienced amateur chorists who have set their hearts on polyphonic music with the aim of performing acappella choir music,lack of which is percieved in Turkey and basically in İstanbul, without the consideration of profitting.

Acappella Grup 34 is a new and pioneering choir which differs from other choirs with its vision and mission, and gives polyphonic music a different dimension.

ABOUT “ACAPPELLA GRUP 34”
-Acappella Grup 34 is a choir which performs polyphonic and acappella (without instrumental accompaniment) music.
-Acappella Grup 34 was formed on 15th June 2004 in Istanbul and began to perform in January 2005 actively. Every performace year takes place in 2 periods: September-January and January-June. The choir rehearses 2 days in a week regularly.
-Acappella Grup 34 is an independent and non-profit choir comprising amateur choir members.
-Acappella Grup 34 logo is a lotus flower colored with Pantone 2726 dark blue & 367 green with the name of  the choir written with a special font under it.

OBJECTIVES
- Get to a proffessional level in musical quality with an amateur financial understanding.
- Improve the technical and musical capacities of the choir as well as the individual choir      members.
-Add different kinds of music to its repertoire as long as they’re acappella.
-Make a choir repertoir which includes just unique compositions or arrangements for Acappella Grup 34 Choir.
-Work to increase the awareness and interest into the polyphonic & acappella music in Turkey.

PERFORMANCE GOALS
-Produce at least 2 relevant projects in every performance year.
-Take part in festivals and competitions whether in Turkey and abroad, represent Turkey in foreign countries.
-Produce common projects with the local and foreign musicians and groups.
-Work with guest conductors both local and foreign.
-Perform at least 1 concert out of Istanbul in every performance year.
